Technology in the Early Years,
Done With Confidence
StartSTEM helps nurseries, schools and local authorities bring AI, STEM and digital learning into early years practice safely, ethically and grounded in children's rights. Independent, practitioner-informed advice and training, plus hands-on sessions where children explore coding, problem solving and creativity through play.
Independent & advice-led
StartSTEM doesn't resell products or earn margin on what it recommends. The advice is paid for on its own merits, which is what keeps it trustworthy.
Ethics first
Children's rights, data ethics and age-appropriate design sit at the centre of every recommendation, shaped by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Practical & budget-aware
Building the foundations of STEM thinking progressively, without requiring expensive resources or screens you don't want.
Princess Souassou Tsiagbe
I'm an Early Years Technology and Innovation Consultant and the founder of StartSTEM. I help nurseries, schools and organisations integrate AI, STEM and digital learning into early years practice in meaningful, ethical ways, from birth to five.
My work sits at the intersection of children's rights, data ethics and digital pedagogy. I've been published in the ECSDN Journal and Nursery World, and I'm completing an MA in Education and Technology at UCL's Institute of Education. Every recommendation I make is grounded in both research and real practice, and in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
I speak at sector events, work directly with teams to build staff confidence and review digital policy, and design training and curricula rooted in child development and early years pedagogy.

Manufacturer Advisory: Advise, Assist, Validate
Building an early years product for the UK market? StartSTEM helps new and overseas manufacturers get it right for local needs, then proves it with real families. You come away with clear market insight and a UK ready product. And StartSTEM stays independent: we never act as a distributor, and earn no margin on sales.
Advise
Adapting the product to UK pedagogy and expectations, such as localising language or voicing.
Assist
Helping with practical improvements so the product is ready for UK settings and families.
Validate
Testing it live through Dipity to gather first-hand feedback from real parents and children.
Dipity, StartSTEM's sister company, runs pop-up STEM play events: a controlled setting to test products with real children and parents before launch.
Children are not just digital natives. They are rights holders in the digital age.
